Use My Sign In Info To Automatically Finish Setting Up My Device After An Update!

Today we will talk about a very important Windows 10 Account Setting. The setting is called "use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update". From the last 2-4 days, many Windows 10 users are complaining that Windows 10 update is not getting successful.
We looked into the problem and found that the Windows 10 users who contacted us do not have a particular setting turned on.
The setting "use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update" is defaulted to be ON. But somehow those users have it Off.

Let us first learn what this Windows Account Setting is and why you want it to be always turned ON.

Use My Sign In Info To Automatically Finish Setting Up My Device After An Update

So let's say you got a Windows 10 update. The Windows started downloading updates for your Windows 10 PC. Once all the available updates are downloaded the system will try to install it.
In the phase of installing the Windows updates, it requires several restarts. Now, if the setting "use my sign in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update" is turned OFF Windows will not be able to complete the update installation process.

Why It's Important?

Most of us have a password or PIN setup to login to the computer when we start or restart it.
So when Windows automatically restarts and try to finish the updates, it needs to get into your computer.

For this, the Windows creates a temporary token when that setting is turned ON so that it can log into your device and finish all the Windows installation process.
After Windows updates installation is done it will then expire the token and log out of the system automatically so you can log in with your credentials.
So guys check if you have that setting turned ON or not.

You can check it here:
Accounts > Sign-in options, beneath Privacy, you’ll find a new toggle called Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart.

If it is not set to ON just toggle it ON.
Note: This option isn’t available if your PC is joined to a domain or if work or email policies are applied to your PC.
